A.T. Kearney opened offices in Sydney and Melbourne in 1994. John Ashby was the first managing director of A.T. Kearney Australia.  In 1995, A.T. Kearney was purchased by EDS, and A. T. Kearney merged with the EDS consulting division.

In 1996, Jim McGrath joined the firm as Management Director. In 1998, Jim was promoted to managing director of A. T. Kearney in Asia, and Robert Nason joined as managing director of Australia/New Zealand.  Also in 1998, Australian Consulting Partners joined the firm with 11 staff. Paul Kerin became managing director in 2001 and Joseph Crepaldi in 2003.

In 2006, A.T. Kearney completed a management buyout from EDS, and David Hovendon became the managing partner of Australia/New Zealand. Our current managing director is Peter Munro.

In 2011, the Melbourne office relocated to Level 19, 101 Collins Street, and in 2012, the Sydney office moved to the fabulous Museum of Contemporary Arts building overlooking Circular Quay.

2014 marks the 20th anniversary of the A.T. Kearney ANZ unit.
